For program managers and partners deciding whether Forge Alone is a fit — what the site is, who reads it, and what's available to work with.
Forge Alone is an independently written, single-author review site covering the tools solo builders actually pay for — security, planning, lead gen, monetization, AI agent tooling, and self-hosted storage. Every review has a "where it doesn't hold up" section, not just a features list.
Solo and small-team SaaS founders, indie hackers, and independent builders evaluating whether a tool is worth its cost for someone without a team behind them — the audience that gets underserved by reviews written for enterprise buyers or by content designed purely to rank for a keyword.
Current reviews span security (Ledger), planning (Miro), lead gen (involve.me, Leadpages), monetization infrastructure (Reditus), AI agent tooling (OpenClaw), self-hosted storage (UGREEN NAS), and SEO/content automation (BabyLoveGrowth.ai) — see the full list on the homepage. New reviews are added as tools get used on real projects; nothing is reviewed from a press kit alone.
One person, no agency: most reviews come from a tool being used on an actual build. Where one instead starts from the tool's documentation and outside reports, the review discloses that and gets revisited once hands-on testing catches up. Either way, the conclusion doesn't change based on whether a link is monetized. Background on the process is on the About page; how affiliate relationships work is on the disclosure page.
Forge Alone is a newly launched site — traffic and audience figures will be added here as they become meaningful. Program managers are welcome to ask directly in the meantime.
